Realsoft.org FAQs (frequently-asked questions)
Category: Main -> Mac OS X version
I have Realsoft 3D Mac OS X Power PC version. I managed to create a nice scene which renders beautifylly on the view window. However, File/Render window fails to render my scene. I get an error (invalid file name 'test') no matter which file name I use.
You are trying to render the image into a folder which you don't have write permissions. Render the images into your home folder and it will work. For example, '/Users/yourname/test' file name will work.Back to top
I read Mac OS X Tiger is 64 bit. Is Realsoft 3D Mac OS X version 64 bit?
To be exact, Mac OS X Tiger is only partially 64 bit. Mac OS X is based on unix and the unix part is 64 bit. However, Mac's user interface is still 32 bit. Apple's next OS version, namely Leopard, will be fully 64 bit and so will Realsoft 3D V6.Back to top
